Psalm 91
Whoever lives under the shelter of the Most High will remain in the shadow of
the Almighty.
I will say to the LORD, “You are my refuge and my fortress, my God in whom I
trust.”
He is the one who will rescue you from hunters’ traps and from deadly plagues.
He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge.
His truth is your shield and armor.
You do not need to fear terrors of the night, arrows that fly during the day,
plagues that roam the dark, epidemics that strike at noon.
They will not come near you, even though a thousand may fall dead beside you or
ten thousand at your right side.
You only have to look with your eyes to see the punishment of wicked people.

I look up toward the mountains.
Where can I find help?
My help comes from the LORD, the maker of heaven and earth.

2 Corinthians 1:3-5

Blessed are those who endure when they are tested. When they pass the test, they

desires as they lure him away and trap him. Then desire becomes pregnant and
gives birth to sin. When sin grows up, it gives birth to death.
1 Peter 2:19-23
God is pleased if a person is aware of him while enduring the pains of unjust suffering. What credit do you deserve if you endure a beating for doing something wrong? But if you endure suffering for doing something good, God is pleased with you. God called you to endure suffering because Christ suffered for you. He left you an example so that you could follow in his footsteps. Christ never committed any sin. He never spoke deceitfully. Christ never verbally abused those who verbally abused him. When he suffered, he didn’t make any threats but left everything to the one who judges fairly.
1 Peter 4:12-15
Dear friends, don’t be surprised by the fiery troubles that are coming in order to test you. Don’t feel as though something strange is happening to you, but be happy as you share Christ’s sufferings. Then you will also be full of joy when he appears again in his glory. If you are insulted because of the name of Christ, you are blessed because the Spirit of glory—the Spirit of God—is resting on you. If you suffer, you shouldn’t suffer for being a murderer, thief, criminal, or troublemaker.
2 Corinthians 12:9-10
But he told me: “My kindness is all you need. My power is strongest when you are weak.” So I will brag even more about my weaknesses in order that Christ’s power will live in me.
